While Darklighters threaten to steal true love
magic made a wish go wrong:
Where two are, once was one --
but two does not mean twice as strong.

Too much work and no time for play have made Piper a major stress case. When a seemingly harmless wish comes true, creating two Pipers, it looks like the problem's solved. Two Pipers can do twice as much work, leaving one Piper to party the night away and the other to finally have time to relax. While one Piper's home baking, the other can give an interview. Two Pipers? Too perfect.

But soon it becomes clear that two heads -- and bodies -- aren't always better than one. When Darklighters kidnap Leo and hold him hostage in exchange for the Charmed Ones' powers, one of the Pipers doesn't even seem to care. And then both Pipers' powers fade, leaving them useless and sick. Phoebe and Paige scramble to find a reversal spell, but without Leo's help, and with Piper split in two, will the Power of Three become powerless?

Awesome!!
By PiperMarie
I have only just started reading the book and I love it!! Like I said in another review I did, I would love to meet Holly Marie Combs because I think that in the show she has the hardest life of the three sisters and because in another book where she does a personal interview she shows me and everyone who reads the book that she truely cares about the teenage girls that watch her show!! I think she is a totally awesome person and I would do absoultly anything to meet her in person!!

The best
By A Customer
In my opinion this book is the best among all the Charmed books. It's funny and it focuses on Piper.
Unlike other Charmed books in which a lot of "strangers" are introduced, this book focuses highly on the three sisters and Leo.
I really enjoy this book and would recommend those who loves Piper to read this book.

Excellent writing, great plot - couldn't put it down!
By Fireflies
This book was right on the money as far as Piper's personality. She is always struggling within herself between what she wants to do and what she has to do. I feel the writer truly understood that before she wrote this book. I felt pulled in, I felt a part of the story. It was like watching one of the shows. There wasn't too much stupid humor like the author just wanted to prove to her audience that she knew the Halliwells. Instead, it was perfect. Loved it. Great plot, exceptional writing - great flow!! Would definitely buy books by Emma Harrison again!

Amazon.com Review
Is Froggy nervous about the first day of school? Well, just a little. First he has a terrible nightmare, dreaming that he almost misses the bus and shows up at school in his underwear. Then when he does wake up, he drops the milk just as he's about to pour some on his bowl of flies! Finally Froggy makes it out the door, leapfrogging the whole way, eager for all the challenges that await him in this comical, brightly illustrated tale of a daunting-but-rewarding first day at school.

Terrific for reading aloud, this is another winner in the Froggy series--including Froggy Gets Dressed, Froggy Learns to Swim, and Froggy Plays Soccer. Zip, zoop, zup are the sounds of Froggy getting dressed, and when he has to go somewhere, it's flop, flop, flop all the way. Our 5-year-old assistant reviewer had fun imitating Froggy and friends, shouting out "Frrrooggyy!" and "Wha-a-a-a-t?" at all the appropriate times. Kids will relate to the trials of the good-natured amphibian who makes lots of mistakes--he yells too loud, interrupts, and has trouble paying attention. With the support of his gentle teacher, however, he soon gets the hang of things. Before long, funny Froggy has the class, and the principal, laughing and singing along with him. All in all, he has a successful day--until he comes home to discover he's left his lunch box and cap at school! "Oh, Froggy. Will you ever learn?" said his mother. "That's why I'm going to school, Mom!" Froggy replies, with a big hop and a grin. (Ages 3 to 6) --Marianne Painter

From School Library Journal
PreSchool-Grade 1?In this fourth book for "Froggy" lovers, children are sure to relate to that "pit in the stomach" feeling that often comes with the first day of school. Froggy's biggest nightmare comes true?he shows up for school in his underwear. Luckily, that scenario is just a bad dream, and the big day proceeds without a hitch. This is a great read-aloud with sounds and words that encourage active participation. Remkiewicz's large, vivid cartoon illustrations show Froggy's amusing, priceless facial expressions as well as those of his family and assorted animal classmates. A charming story to calm those pre-school jitters.?Kathy Mitchell, Gadsden Co. Public Library, Quincy, FL

From Booklist
Ages 2^-5. The fourth book about Froggy begins with a nightmare many kids will recognize: he finds himself at school in only his underwear. Luckily, it was all a bad dream. He wakes up in his bed and gets all dressed up for his first day at school. He's so nervous he can't pour milk on his bowl of flies for breakfast. In class he has to learn to keep his voice down and pay attention, but his ebullient performance at circle time is a great success. The big, bright cartoon illustrations pick up the silliness of nervous Froggy, and children will laugh at his innocence and sympathize with his jitters. Hazel Rochman

We love Froggy!
By K. Bennett
If you want a light-hearted look at the first day of school, this is the perfect book. Froggy, who as you might guess is a frog, is nervous about the first day of school. So nervous, in fact, that he lets his imagination carry him away. First he has the dreaded dream about running late on the first day of school, nearly missing the bus, and arriving only to realize he's running around in his underwear! When he really does get to school, he's thrilled to find his name tag on his table. "He liked his name. It was the first word he knew how to read. It was the only word he knew how to read. He read it aloud, louder and louder. Frrrooggyy." A little too loud, it turns out, as his teacher, Miss Witherspoon, kindly informs him that it's time to pay attention. Later, as he gazes out the window, he's so impressed by the falling leaves that he topples out of his chair. Miss Witherspoon tells him, "Kindly stay in your seat, dear. . .We'll sit on the floor at circle time." At circle time, Froggy shares how he learned how to swim over the summer. He soon has the whole class going through the motions -- even the principal joins in! When his parents ask about his first day of school, he proudly informs them that he taught the principal how to swim! As Frank Remkiewicz draws him, Froggy is just your average little boy who happens to be a frog. He may have webbed feet, but he covers them with sneakers. Froggy's face is a mirror of his emotions -- wide-eyed terror when he awakens from a bad dream, pink-tinged embarrassment when he notices the principal watching his "swimming lessons."

It's Time For School and Froggy's On His Way.....
By Roz Levine
It's Froggy's first day of school and this ever enthusiastic little amphibian can't wait. He gets dressed, eats his flies and milk, catches the school bus and has no trouble finding his very own desk with his very own name on it. He's so thrilled to be able to read his name, the first word, he realizes, that he can read, that he reads it again and again, louder and louder and even louder, until his teacher informs him that he needs to keep his voice down and that it's time to be quiet and pay attention. But it's hard for him to sit still and listen and take turns, so hard, in fact that while looking out the window and day dreaming, he falls off his chair. His teacher gently reminds him to stay in his seat and that he'll be able to sit on the floor at circle time. When circle time finally arrives, Froggy has his moment. While telling the class about how he learned to swim during the summer, he starts to sing and dance, laugh and hop and pretty soon the whole class is "swimming" right along with him, including Mr Mugwort, the principal..... No one captures the essence of a busy little pre-schooler, with places to go, people to see and things to do, like Jonathan London. His funny, joyful text, full of energy, motion and silly sound effects is wonderfully depicted in Frank Remkiewicz's bright, bold, expressive artwork. Together, they show a successful first day of school, not perfect, but realistic and reassuring to youngsters getting ready for the big step. This story is just one in a delightful series of firsts and your kids will love each and every one of them. Froggy Goes To School is a winner and a good way to help prepare your children for all the fun that's ahead when school begins.

Froggy is a hilarious, lovable character!
By A Customer
This book is currently my five-year old's favorite! His kindergarten teacher read it to them the first week of school. The story line gives every one in our family the giggles. Our three-year old now refers to zip, zap, zup everytime she gets dressed. Cute story!

"This rousing, witty guide could help make the world a nicer, more civilized, more humane place."--Publishers Weekly In a world where rudeness is the norm and acts of kindness often make people more suspicious than grateful, who hasn't yearned for a return to good old-fashioned courtesy? In this gentle, inspiring book, Donald McCullough reminds us of the power that we have to make the world a better place--simply by being polite. He helps us spot opportunities to treat others with respect--not because they have "earned it," but because they deserve it as fellow human beings. From saying please and thank you, to keeping a secret, to picking up the check at dinner, it's the little decisions in life that make the big difference--helping us to grow more gracious, and to give, and receive, life's simple but essential gifts.

Appalled at the distressing loss of civility in American life, McCulloughAPresbyterian preacher, president of San Francisco Theological Seminary, author of Waking from the American DreamAhas written a sensible handbook that aims to promote the little acts of courtesy embodying the simple respect due to members of a civilized society. Writing with sprightly humor, he organizes most chapters around basic precepts of conduct that we all violate from time to time: Don't be late; Wait your turn; Keep a secret; "Hold your wind" (don't offend with any type of bodily grossness); Honor cross-cultural differences ("Never wear red to a Chinese funeral"); Don't tell jokes at the expense of others. Other chapters venture further afield into self-help territory, as he advises readers to do things in moderation, to respect sexual boundaries and refrain from sexual harassment, to eliminate financial debt, to make time for friends and family. Using illustrative examples from everyday life, McCullough leavens his homily with choice anecdotes featuring W.C. Fields, Edgar Allan Poe, Winston Churchill, Cecil Rhodes; with a smorgasbord of quotes from Einstein, Shaw, Graham Greene, Golda Meir, M. Scott Peck, James Baldwin; and allusions to Dostoyevski, Victor Hugo, Erich Segal. Yet the overall tone borders on the sermonizing, as he waxes indignant time and again over the discourteous behavior of the boorish in our midst. Still, this rousing, witty guide could help make the world a nicer, more civilized, more humane place.

recommended mandatory reading for every human being
By A Customer
this is a unique, thorough. and entertaining-yet-serious description of how we should all treat others..... NOT an instruction book, nor a book of rules.....simply how to show respect to our fellow human beings. The hardback edition is much easier on the eyes than the softcover/paperback edition.

say please, say thank you
By Jacquelyn Fuzell-casey
Short and sweet. For anyone who loves to get a hand-written thank you note, a birthday card in the mail, or the perfect gift just because-this book is for you. Donald McCullough first is a magical writter, and second a wise and kind teacher.
We need to get back to the nature of caring and doing the little things that make human life special. Saying please and thank you are such fundimental human feelings, the loss of these words in our language will no doubt be the loss of the very threads that help to create the weaving which is the nicer side of our human family.
The gift for all ocassions (I purchased 20 of them!) and a great place to start with the kids. Help us keep the sweetness of human kindness alive, read and enjoy "Say Please, Say Thank You...!

You said it!

I wish I could drop millions of copies of this book from the sky. It should be required reading by every human being. Has the author been on Oprah? Larry King? Good Morning America? Today? Rosie? How about a PBS special? If so, I'm sorry I missed those segments. If not, then where's his publicist? Can we get rid of Dr. Laura and replace her with Donald McCullough?
It would be such a lovely world if we were all to get back to the basics of mutual respect and consideration. There would be a lot less stress in today's world if everyone followed the very simple principles in this book.
Buy it, read it, share it, and most importantly, DO IT. You'll stand out among the herd--that's for sure.
